Conveniently located on the I-5 corridor, Sutherlin provides a small town and unhurried environment that is the perfect place to "settle in" to enjoy the scenery and activities in all directions.
It's where the fir trees meet the vineyards and the Pacific bows to the Cascades.
There is something for everyone here:  boating, water skiing and tubing, fishing, hunting, the Wildlife Safari, wine tasting, golfing, hiking to the numerous waterfalls, discovering the covered bridges, snow skiing, investigating the Cascades via snow mobile, strolling along the beach, whale watching, bird watching, and taking that exciting ride on a dune buggy.

Nestled in the hills surrounding Sutherlin is one of the best kept secrets in southwestern Oregon - Cooper Creek Reservoir. Just two miles from downtown, it's the perfect place for boating, swimming, fishing, and family picnics or take a hike around the lake.
From the 136 exit on I-5, head east on Central Avenue.  Turn right onto Waite St. turning left at the stop sign.  Continue onto Southside Road.  Turn right on Cooper Creek Road.  Follow that up the hill to the intersection and continue straight down to parking area where you will also find a boat launch, dock and a picnic area.

Sutherlin is centrally located on Interstate 5  between Portland and the California border with Railway access to several Oregon ports. The Eugene Airport is a short 1 hour drive to the north. You will find business, development and residential properties west and east of I-5 that incompass Sutherlin.
