"Hamilton is a member of the Oregon Assn. of Municipal Recorders, as well as the International Institute of Municipal Clerks joining both in 2001. She's earned the designation of Certified Municipal Clerk after attending Professional Development Classes in Washington. Both organizations provide ongoing training for the municipal clerk positions. She has been an active participant in OAMR, such as being Region Director, Chairing many of the Committee's, and has now been in a four-year commitment starting out as 2nd Vice President, in 2015, 1st Vice President in 2016, and President of OAMR in 2017-18. Her year as President included travel to Alaska, California, and Washington to their annual conferences to represent Oregon OAMR. She was able to travel to Montreal, Canada, Omaha, Nebraska, and Norfolk, Virginia to attend the International Institute of Municipal Clerks annual conferences and represent Oregon OAMR. Costs were covered in full by OAMR. In 2018-19 she will still be on the OAMR Board as the Immediate Past President. This has been an amazing opportunity for Hamilton, who has had the full support of her Mayor, City Manager, and Staff."
