JOB OPENING AT THE CITY OF SUTHERLIN FOR A COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST. THIS POSITION WILL REMAIN OPEN UNTIL 4:00 PM ON MAY 31, 2024

Community Development Specialist- The Community Development Specialist provides administrative and technical support to the Community Development Department. This position serves as the point of contact for economic development inquiries to include representing the city at various economic development meetings, serves as the City’s representative with area and state economic development organizations.  This position is  responsible for responding to new/expanding business proposals, and facilitation in general per the City’s economic development agenda. This is a 40-hour per week position with pay ranging from $58,284 to $78,096 annually.

Applicants for this position should possess a two-year degree plus five years of experience working in government service; in particular office administration, development services, or city clerk is preferred.  Additional experience in local government financial accounting, plans review, and processing of development permits is desirable.

THE CITY OF SUTHERLIN HAS AN OPENING FOR A POLICE OFFICER.
                                                                THIS POSITION WILL REMAIN OPEN UNTIL FILLED.
                                                                                                                     
Entry level or lateral Police Officer applications are being accepted at the City of Sutherlin – Applicant must be 21 years of age, have a valid OR driver’s license and a US Citizen. Pay range $56,148 – $75,216 plus 5% Certification(s) pay. Excellent benefits package includes Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage, city paid PERS, vacation and sick accruals, longevity pay and $100k retirement bonus’. Preference will be given to Certified Officers, Veterans, or those with a college degree in Criminal Justice or equivalent.
